Dr. Samy Al-Bayati is an accomplished physician with extensive experience in both Urology and Interventional Radiology. He currently serves as a faculty member at the University of Texas Health in San Antonio, Texas. Dr. Al-Bayati's medical journey began at the University of Al-Mustansiriyah College of Medicine in Baghdad, Iraq, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree. He then completed a residency in Urology at Baghdad Medical City. Seeking further training and specialization, Dr. Al-Bayati moved to the United States, where he completed a research fellowship in Urology, a residency in Diagnostic Radiology, and a fellowship in Interventional Radiology, all at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio.
Dr. Al-Bayati specializes in a variety of endovascular procedures, including embolization for placenta accreta spectrum, arterial embolization therapy, biliary interventions, and management of TIPSS complications. Dr. Al-Bayati's commitment to medical education and research is evident in his numerous publications and presentations. He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology (SIR) and the American College of Radiology (ACR). Throughout his career, Dr. Al-Bayati has received several awards and recognition for his leadership, academic excellence, and teaching contributions.
When Dr. Al-Bayati is not practicing medicine, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children. He is a DIY enthusiast and finds satisfaction in tackling projects around the house and tending to his yard.
