Kate Salerno, FNP-BC

Nurse Practitioner

Kate Salerno is a Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and completed a study abroad at the Sorbonne in Paris. Kate earned her first Master’s of Science in Nursing at the University of San Diego and completed her internship in the Intensive Care Unit at the VA San Diego Healthcare System.

While working as an Oncology RN at Boca Raton Regional Hospital in Boca Raton, FL, and a float pool RN at the University of Miami Hospital in Miami, FL, Kate earned her second Master’s of Science in Nursing and completed her Nurse Practitioner training at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. She has worked as a Nurse Practitioner in Internal Medicine, Interventional Pain Management, and Home Health and Hospice.

She was also part of a medical mission trip to El Cercado, Dominican Republic, where she helped establish a medical clinic and completed home health visits in the community. She completed graduate research studies including Diagnosis and Treatment of Parasites in Developing Nations and Wound Care and Patient Education in a Rural Dominican Community during which she led field research, data analysis, and poster presentation.
